Clinical Example: Island digital artery flap to dorsal metacarpal head

This gentleman had a chronic recurring ulceration over the dorsal aspect of the middle finger metacarpal head after treatment for extensive burn injuries. Because of the limited availability of dorsal skin flap donor sites, the area in question was resurfaced using a digital artery island flap from the same finger.
